We store IP addresses for a limited period in the log files, if this is necessary for security purposes or for the provision of a service or billing, e.g. if you take advantage of any of our offers. If you abort the order process, and after we receive your payment, we shall erase the IP address, unless it is still required for security purposes. We also store IP addresses if we suspect a criminal offence relating to the use of our website. Moreover, we store data relating to your last visit as part of your account (e.g. registration, log-in, clicking of links).

2.3 Cookies

We use session cookies to optimise our website. A session cookie is a small text file sent by the relevant servers when you visit a website and stored on your hard drive. The file contains a session ID which is used to assign various requests from your browser to the shared session. It is used to recognise your computer when you return to our website. These cookies are erased after you close your browser. They are used, for example, to enable use of the shopping basket function across multiple pages.

To a limited extent, we also use persistent cookies (also small text files that are stored on your device) which remain on your device and enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit. These cookies are stored on your hard drive and erased automatically after the specified time. They are saved for 1 month up to 10 years. Unless specified, we store your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.

3. Processing of inventory data

We also process the inventory data described below.

3.1 Newsletters

We use double opt-in order to send you our newsletter. Only with your prior, express confirmation that you would like to receive our newsletter will we send you an activation e-mail asking you to click on a link contained therein to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time and without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. Written notification to the contact details under Item 1 (e.g. by e-mail, fax or letter) is sufficient for this purpose. Of course, each newsletter also contains an unsubscribe link.

3.2 Legal basis and storage period

The legal basis for the data processing under the above provisions is Art. 6(1a), (1b) and (1f) GDPR. 4.2 Right to rectification

You have the right to have any incorrect personal data that concerns you rectified by us without undue delay. You have the right to have incomplete personal data completed ‒ including by means of a supplementary statement ‒ taking into account the purposes of the processing.

4.3 Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")

In accordance with Art. 17 (1) GDPR, you have the right to request that we erase personal data that concerns you without undue delay, and we are obliged to erase this personal data immediately, insofar as one of the following grounds applies:

  1. The personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
  2. You withdraw your consent on which the processing was based in accordance with Art. 6(1a) or Art. 9(2a) GDPR, and there is no other legal basis for the processing.
  3. You object to the processing in accordance with Art. 21(1) GDPR and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or you object to the processing in accordance with Art. 21(2) GDPR.
  4. The personal data has been unlawfully processed.
  5. The personal data has to be erased in order to comply with a legal obligation in Union or Member State law to which we are subject.
  6. The personal data has been collected in relation to the offer of information society services in accordance with Art. 8(1) GDPR.

In the event that we have disclosed the personal data and are obliged to erase it in accordance with Art. 17(1) GDPR, we will take appropriate measures, including those of a technical nature and taking into account the available technology and costs of implementation, to inform other parties responsible for processing the disclosed personal data that you have requested that they erase all links to, or copies or replicas of, the personal data.

4.4 Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data if one of the following conditions is met:

  1. The accuracy of the personal data is contested by you, for a period enabling the controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data;
  2. Processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of your personal data and request the restriction of its use instead;

4.6 Right to object

On grounds relating to your particular situation, you shall have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6(1e) or Art. 6(1f) GDPR; This includes profiling based on these provisions. We will cease processing your personal data unless we can provide compelling legitimate reasons for doing so which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing is used to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object to the processing of the personal data that relates to you for the purposes of such marketing at any time; This also applies to profiling, insofar as it is linked to such direct marketing. 6. Data security

We make every effort to ensure the security of your data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and technical possibilities.

Your personal data is transmitted to us in encrypted form. This applies both to your orders and to the customer log-in. We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) coding system, but would like to point out that there may be security gaps in data transmission on the Internet (e.g. during e-mail communication). This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of this service is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We have executed a contract data processing agreement with Google and are implementing the stringent provisions of the German data protection agencies to the fullest when using Google Analytics.
